Family owned and operated, at Southwater Ltd heart is the team. Led by Father and son duo Rob and Matthew Grant, the team is passionate about the environment and running productive and safe jobs, everytime.
Rob Grant
Managing Director
After 30 years in dairy and seafood corporate roles, primarily in marketing and operations management, Rob has established a wide range of contacts and experience in the NZ primary sector. Rob started as a hands-on operator but was expeditiously delegated to head office to focus on sales and try to get the admin under control.
His marketing and business management experience since 1991 includes, 5 years offshore in marketing roles – Asia, Middle East, USA. Doesn’t do motorbikes but does keep trying on the skis and intends to get into E mountain biking.
Matt Grant
Operations Manager
Matt is a qualified Master Builder by trade and an experienced dredging & dewatering gear operator with Southwater. As water and wastewater treatment has been added to our services, he has gained valuable experience and contacts in this area.
His building training, combined with a practical mechanical aptitude has made him very effective in these roles. When not on the road completing projects and visiting new sites he will be found mountain biking, on the snow or perfecting craft beer engineering.
Kate Gittens
Finance & Administration
Originally from the beautiful city of Chester in the UK, Kate has travelled extensively eventually arriving in New Zealand 24 years ago.
She has vast Finance & Administrative experience within various industries, including The Ritz Hotel London, cafes, recruitment and cleaning companies and now is excited to be working with the team at Southwater.
When Kate has any downtime, she enjoys a good movie, relaxing with a good glass of Pinot Noir and pottering around with her camera.
